Terrific place for food in Portsmouth! Fieldstones Grille is a neighborhood bar and grill that is open daily for lunch & dinner and has a comfortable bar and a spacious dining room with comfortable seating. You can also order from their menu for take out.
This location used to be The Portsmouth Oyster Bar which we had eaten at a few times before. The new management has brought new life to this location as well as great food. I love the decor of earth tones and historic black & white pictures of Portsmouth. The bar is comfortable and there is an amazingly clear Sony HDTV to enjoy over a beer and some Patriot Nachos, which are our favorite. The wait staff is extremely pleasant, which is unfortunately a sharp contrast to most Newport eateries.
The location is extremely easy to get to, right on East Main Road near Union St. If you are looking for great food without going all the way to Newport this is the place you want to be!
